The 2020 BTA Winter Summit was an epic three days, with over 200 of our members, partners, and special guests in attendance at the world’s greatest mountain resort – Whistler, BC. We celebrated tremendous 2019 successes with BTA Awards Night on the peak of Whistler mountain, heard from Brian Scudamore, CEO and Founder of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and dialed in our member’s 2020 annual strategic plans.

And in typical BTA fashion, the event also included a dose of true adventure – including snowmobiling, skiing, skeleton, and Olympic Bobsled activities. We also paddled down the river and watched dozens of bald eagles soar through the air and feast on salmon.

Of course, no BTA event is complete without great dinners and afterparties, which there were many of!

It’s amazing to reflect that just four years ago, we hosted our first BTA Winter Summit in Whistler, BC. There were only nine members, along with James, Igor, and Danny. But after witnessing the synergy that was manifested in our first event, we realized there was an opportunity to do something really special with Breakthrough Academy that we hadn’t experienced anywhere else. Fast forward to today, we just came back from the largest event that we’ve ever hosted – a testament to what can be accomplished with passion and an amazing community of entrepreneurs.

We want to thank each of our partners at James Hardie, RepairWorks, and GAF, as well as our BTA Approved Vendors at Talbot, Baseline Processing, CompanyCam, Graphic Impressions, Broadly, Clayton Blaney, Slingshot, and Consulting Resource Group for being a part of this event.

Lastly, a big shout out to our two fantastic speakers: Brian Scudamore, the CEO, and Founder of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and O2Ebrands, for his keynote speech about what he’s learned and overcome throughout his career, and to the 2x CFL Grey Cup champion Angus Reid for his powerful closing speech on what it takes to become the best that you want to be.
