Breakthrough Academy is now just seven years old and growing rapidly with over 500 business owners developing in the program, and an awesome team of 40 running the show. We are leaders in the contracting industry, producing high-quality, engaging content across multiple social media channels and we are well on track to continue the growth of our audience.

Because of this, we are looking for an amazing Video Assistant to join our Marketing Team.

In This Role, You Will Be:

• Working closely with and supporting the Video Producer to produce awesome, on-brand videos and snippets for our content marketing outlets
• Travelling around the lower mainland and beyond to support the filming of our podcast in-studio, Member (client) interviews, case studies, and other cool content
• Ensuring successful video shoots by setting up the podcast studio, testing lights, audio and internet before the team and guests arrive
• Managing the teleprompter and other in-studio tasks during filming days
• Using BTA camera equipment (Sony) to film and shoot various content
• Rough cutting Contractor Evolution (our podcast!) episodes and other video content segments for the marketing team
• Fully managing our footage and episode library on external hard drives
• Creating production notes, timecoding for each episode to highlight interruptions, pauses, stops, etc.
• Supporting the production of new video content for the BTA Management System video library
• Categorising and delivering footage to the Video Producer for final edits
• Supporting filming and photographing on off-site shoots to ensure a successful production day

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience in freelance video production and editing including photography, audio
• Experience working within strong brand guidelines
• Experience with cameras, lighting, audio, teleprompter testing and setup
• Experience with pre/post-production workflows
• Experience editing: pre/post production
• Proficient in Final Cut, Zoom, Slack, Asana
• Vancouver/Greater Vancouver/Fraser Valley based with a reliable vehicle
