How much does Breakthrough Academy cost?

At Breakthrough Academy, we’ve devoted countless hours to constructing systems that help contractors grow their business to levels beyond their imagination. Our programs have been thoughtfully designed by industry experts, and our Members work with coaches brimming with specialized knowledge.

However… we appreciate that our program pricing can sometimes be a bit tricky to wrap your head around.

We promise our pricing structure is just another carefully thought-out detail that helps ensure our program is the right fit for your contracting business – and your budget.

But to help alleviate any confusion, this article provides a rundown of our programs, the costs associated with each, and the potential upswings of making the investment.

What does Breakthrough Academy do?

Breakthrough Academy helps contractors implement systems for running their business more efficiently to increase profits and improve their work-life balance. Industries served include construction, home services and trades, such as painting, roofing, landscaping, electrical and plumbing.

Breakthrough Academy Program Overview

Don’t worry if it’s not all crystal clear yet. We’ll walk you through each phase one by one.

Assessment Phase

✳️ How much it costs: Absolutely nothing!

✳️ How long it takes: 1.5 hours

The Assessment phase is your first conversation with Breakthrough Academy and it’s available to all motivated contractors interested in scaling their business. This is where we’ll get to know each other and determine whether we’re a good match. 

There’s no cost involved, it’s just a friendly conversation, during which you’ll speak with an Assessment Specialist about the state of your business. In case you’re concerned whether your business is positioned to afford a Breakthrough Academy Membership, we’ll also take a peek at your finances and help you figure out what’s possible.

Bring us your goals, your woes, and your tears (yes, it happens, and it’s totally fine).

Blueprint Phase

✳️ How much it costs: A one-time fee of $5500

✳️ How long it takes: 6 weeks

Once you’re accepted to the Breakthrough Academy program, this phase is where the work really begins (after a proper “congrats and welcome,” of course!). Similar to a construction project, it’s where you’ll get the “blueprints” for building your company into a pinnacle of efficiency and growth that serves a meaningful purpose in the world. No pressure. 

Think of it like a whirlwind business school for contractors. You’ll work with a top-notch industry expert who will teach you the fundamentals of business success that form the six pillars of Breakthrough Academy’s Contractor Growth Method:

• Financial Controls – Learn the importance of getting a grip on your numbers, having a budget and tracking your actuals.
  
  
• Defined Roles – Understand why you need a clear organizational structure with defined deliverables for each role outlined in an employment agreement.
  
  
• Hiring Systems – Figure out which roles you’re missing, where to find strong candidates and how to vet applications so you can build an unbeatable team.
  
  
• Training & Onboarding – Uncover how to set your staff up for success with standard operating procedures that ensure consistent quality.
  
  
• Optimized Sales & Marketing – Discover how to convert leads to jobs with a proven sales process that’s based on your goals and metrics.
  
  
• Goal Setting & Execution - Instil accountability and track performance by empowering your team to do their best work.

Foundations Phase

✳️ How much it costs: Technically nothing. The cost is included in the Implementation Phase.

✳️ How long it takes: 3 months.

Regardless of which Implementation Path you travel (and we’ll discuss those more in a moment), each one begins with the three month Foundations Phase, which is where you lay the “foundations” for your business success.

Together with your coach, you’ll put together a:

• Financial Plan
• Strategic Plan
• Sales Pipeline
• Production Plan
• Org Chart
• Implementation Plan

If you’re worried how you’re going to carve out the time in your jam-packed schedule to get all this done, don’t be. Your coach will set you up with a time management system that ensures you’re able to focus on this vital work.

Implementation Phase

✳️ How much it costs: Depends on your Implementation Path

✳️ How long it takes: 3 years. Well, technically, 2 years and 9 months since the first 3 months are spent in the Foundations Phase…

The Implementation Phase is the longest and most critical part of your journey, where you combine everything you’ve learned with all the plans you’ve made and put things into action. This is where your business goes into high gear.

There are three possible Implementation Paths to take during this phase:

📈Essential - This path is for businesses making at least $500K/year in revenue, and the program costs $850/month.

📈Accelerator - This path is for businesses making at least $1M/year in revenue, and the program costs $1850/month.

📈Pro - This path is for businesses making at least $3M/year in revenue, and the program costs $2850/month.

🙋Why are there different Implementation Paths?

Implementation is hands down the toughest part of the Breakthrough Academy program. (Of any major change, really…). Businesses at each maturity stage have different requirements for scaling. Bigger companies typically have more moving parts, more complex projects and more intricacies to consider, which means they need more dedicated one-on-one time with the coaches, who will need to apply deeper expertise to help them implement and fine-tune their systems. 

This is also why the Pro path has a smaller cohort than the Accelerator, as it allows more space for the Members to familiarize themselves with the specific challenges and potential opportunities they each face. 

What you’ll gain 

No matter which Implementation Path you travel, all three provide the high-calibre resources Breakthrough Academy is known for, including:

• Content – Educational videos, plus templates and example documents to help you create all your plans, agreements and systems.

• Community – Access to 600+ like-minded entrepreneurs similar to you, who get the trials and tribulations that come with growing a demanding contracting business.
