After leaving a large corporate environment to join the small franchisor CruiseShipCenters, John discovered his true passion as he helped scale the company across North America – which resulted in its acquisition by Expedia Inc. During his 17 years with the organization, he transitioned from VP, Marketing (leading a highly successful award-winning team) to VP, Franchise Operations, where he built solid systems and processes for the support and training of Franchise Partners, setting the company up for continued success.

John brings a wealth of strategic planning and leadership experience to his role as Business Coach – Crew at Breakthrough Academy. He finds great satisfaction assisting members with strategic plans that align with their marketing, sales, and operations and help them knock their goals out of the park. He revels in rolling up his sleeves to turn entrepreneurs’ dreams into reality through the BTA Management system.

Vancouver Island-based John loves spending time with his wife Michelle, their two kids and dog Ruby, and when he’s not helping members scale to success, he is ripping it up on his motorbike, skis, or snowboard (he finally hung up his fishing rod after discovering he was lousy at the sport). He also writes lyrics and finds collaborators to compose and produce the music, bringing his visions to life.
