How Jeremy Turned Hustle Into Predictable Growth

2019 was Jeremy's first full year in business and he had no experience in fencing.

However, drawing on his work ethic and experience growing up in the concrete industry, Jeremy has built a very well run fencing business in the last 4 years.

He religiously tracks his KPI's in his business masterplan and is able to make informed strategic decisions that lead to predictable growth.

This allows him the freedom to spend time with his wife and 2 young children at home which is a 3 hour drive from his shop.

"Being part of BTA has had a great impact on how I plan and run the business. Understanding what our numbers are and having the data to make a plan has been a game changer. We adjusted pricing, started tracking our marketing tactics and results, know how many estimates we need to complete to achieve our goals, and measure those results weekly.

Getting with employees on SOPS, getting clear on processes to ensure everything is repeatable, has made us more efficient, drives quality and consistency, and gives us the ability to scale our growth in a predictable and manageable way.

There is a clear path forward and as long we stick with it we are going to be able to scale. We are half the size of most other companies in the area and we are capturing more than our fair share of the market.

The strategic planning process has helped me see that controlled growth is more important than growth without a plan. Next year we will focus on continuing to systemize the business and prepare for the next level of growth including new market areas."
