About Breakthrough Academy

We run a ridiculously fast-growing company that helps entrepreneurs in the trades grow their businesses by implementing excellent operational systems into their companies.

Our proprietary training program brings systemization to a company’s operations, develop an entrepreneur’s core business skills, and holds accountability to goals along a clear business plan.

We Want to Speak to You if:

  • You are a seasoned freelance copywriter (contractor) with business copywriting experience and have the bandwidth to research and produce marketing content for us as needed.
  • You truly love creating content and are outstanding in requesting the direction needed to produce exceptional content that educates and drives our users to take action.
  • You have a track record of writing content that creates strong results and conversion performance
  • You pride yourself on producing grammatically accurate content with clear messaging, as well as both a consistent tone of voice and style.
  • You have experience writing copy for all channels and formats, including email, blog posts, landing pages, headlines, social media, surveys, events, video, and direct mail.
  • You have experience producing effective content with SEO best practices in mind.
  • You have produced content for B2B marketing campaigns or video scripts previously.
  • Knowledge of basic content marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of lead and sales nurturing.

As Our Marketing Copywriter, We Expect You to:

  • Coordinate with the Head of Marketing, or other involved parties, to ensure you are prepared to deliver exceptional content for any assigned work.
  • Produce and proofread copy with keen attention to detail.
  • Capture and represent the brand and voice of Breakthrough Academy in all assigned work and produced content.
  • Work independently and be able to project manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
  • Perform the necessary research required to create accurate and SEO-driven content.

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in writing in a marketing capacity.
  • 2+ years of experience in writing in a business capacity.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, content collaboration tools, and content management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, journalism, or a related discipline an asset.
